Bharti Singh Arrested in Bollywood Drug Case by NCB After Being Interrogated on Saturday

Comedian Bharti Singh arrested after being interrogated by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after being questioned for several hours. As per the NDTV report, the comedian has been arrested. On Saturday, NCB officials raided her Mumbai residence and found recovered a 'small quantity of cannabis'. As per the NCB officials quoted by the news agency PTI, Bharti Singh's name emerged during questioning of a drug peddler and the search of her home 'recovered a small amount of cannabis' the official also shared that they also searched at the two other locations in Mumbai.

Bharti Singh will be spending the night at the NCB office.

She will be produced before the NDPS court on Sunday. Her arrest came right after NCB arrested a 21-year-old drug peddler from Khar Danda area. The agency recovered several kinds of drugs including LSD from the alleged peddler.

ANI quoted NCB official, "NCB raided production office & house of comedian Bharti Singh & from both the places 86.5 gms of Ganja was recovered. Both Bharti & her husband Harsh Limbachiya accepted consumption of Ganja. Bharti Singh arrested & examination of Harsh Limbachiya is underway."

Harsh and Bharti are popular television stars, who are known for their comedy timings and gigs. The NCB raided the production office of the couple and their residence from where the anti-narcotic agency recovered 86.5 grams of Ganja. The couple has also accepted the consumption of Ganja. The interrogation of Harsh is still underway and he is likely to be arrested.

Earlier this month, actor Arjun Rampal's home was searched and both he and his partner Gabriella Demetriades were summoned by the anti-drug agency. Bollywood came on NCB's radar after a few prominent names emerged during the agency's investigation into the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Several celebs including Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, and his partner Gabriella Demetriades have also been questioned by the agency.
